Submission guidelines

Submit films worth someone’s attention.

ZeroReel is open to emerging filmmakers at any budget. We look for authorship, craft, intent and enough context to judge the work fairly.

What to submit

  • Short films
  • Feature-length films
  • Animation
  • Documentary
  • Scenes and works in progress with clear intent
  • AI-native, AI-hybrid, traditional and experimental work

AI-native films use AI tools as a central part of the creative process. AI-hybrid films combine AI tools with traditional production methods.

Add useful context

Use the original source where possible. Name the filmmaker accurately, describe the film plainly and explain why it is worth seeing. If it is not your work, say so.

What we remove or reject

  • Spam or repeated dumping
  • Stolen or misleadingly attributed work
  • Duplicate or broken links
  • Deceptive titles or metadata
  • Illegal, abusive or unsafe material
  • Contextless output presented without clear authorship or intent

Human review from the first release.

Human review is the final check for source integrity, reports, disputes and creator attribution. It is not a judgement of taste. Viewers decide what gains attention through upvotes, viewing and saving.
